Meet the ResetPlug, a device that could replace some companies entire IT department (see video at end of post).

What it does is monitor your routers internet connection, and if it detects that you’re internet has stopped working, it will reset your router. Extremely simple, and extremely astonishing that it hasn’t been done before. In fact why don’t routers just do this themselves?

Either way, for $60 you could get a ResetPlug and stop running to restart your router everytime the internet stops working.
