New Google Chrome Feature Let's You Know What Tabs Are Making Noise

If you’re the kind of person who has many tabs open it has surely happened to you that an ad or video starts playing in the background, and you can’t find it. Quite annoying. Thanks to a new feature on Google Chrome you can dramatically cut down the time it takes to find what tab is making noise, by showing a small icon on the responsible tab. You’ll be able to zoom in immediately, and shut that down before you have to start pulling your hair out. It’s currently available on the Chrome 32 beta release and we expect the feature to be implemented on the next stable release. It also lets you know which tabs are using your webcam, or streaming to your TV over Chromecast. Additionally, the Safe Browsing features now automatically blocks malware files, instead of advising you to merely proceed with caution.
