This is absolutely shocking, and has nothing to do with homeland security. It is simply sickening!
People have very private conversations, calls and video calls with Microsofts Skype, but the thing is, they were never really private.
A report published by The New York Times and citing people who asked not to be named for obvious reasons, Skype developed its own user-monitoring system before the Microsoft acquisition in October 2011.
So the next time you start up skype, make sure to say hello to the third party!
Now Microsoft does in fact claim to have removed these spying tools in their updates over the years, however, nothing says there aren’t other tools for this exact purpose.
Never the less, Microsoft does have as a policy to save and give out personal information if ordered by court.
