It’s a floating metal ball, but together with the new interface that researchers at MIT have developed It’s capable of doing some extraordinary things. Not only can it hold a lot of weight and compensate for things like people touching it. It can also move the ball in complex patterns with the computer, as well let you move it around yourself. To accomplish this it uses an infrared optical tracking sensor a projector and a very strong electromagnetic field. It can accurately simulate orbits and is therefore perfect for making a floating 3D simulation of the solar system. It’s called the ZeroN. Check it out!
