It makes so much sense you feel silly for not thinking of it earlier. Using a 3D scanner to measure up clothes to fit perfectly. While you still can’t go to your nearest tailor and get a 3D tailored suit, a new company called Stannt is running a kickstarter to provide you with just that.
They won’t come home to you with 3D scanning equipment, but the data they use is based on real 3D body scans.
Hornbuckle and Keel who have no experience in fashion worked with apparel and university experts to create a patent-pending sizing technology they call DataFit. Doing that involved mining 200 measurements from more than 800 3D body scans to yield some 70 sizes of men’s shirts.
