It’s something many children have begged their parents for. Now, one Tennessee private school is requiring all fourth through 12th grade students to have an Apple i-Pad for classes next year.
A constant need for more technology is the reason the Webb School is implementing a mandatory i-Pad program. Any student who doesn’t already have their own i-Pad can lease one for approximately $20 a month.
Senior Andy Pope is already using his i-Pad for school.
“One of the cool things is like you can go to the Weather Channel app and switch it in Spanish, so you can see what the weather is in Spanish,” said Pope. “There is such a big library of different things you can do.”
School officials say websites such as Facebook and Twitter will be blocked on campus.
