More than 30 trucks filled with 5-cent coins arrived at Apple’s headquarters in California.
Initially, the security company that protects the facility said the trucks were in the wrong place, but minutes later, Tim Cook (Apple CEO) received a call from Samsung CEO explaining that they will pay $1 billion dollars for the fine recently ruled against the South Korean company in this way.
the funny part is that the signed document does not specify a single payment method, so Samsung is entitled to send the creators of the iPhone their billion dollars in the way they deem best.
This dirty but genius troll is a new headache to Apple executives as they will need to put in long hours counting all that money, to check if it is all there and to try to deposit it crossing fingers to hope a bank will accept all the coins.
Lee Kun-hee, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, told the media that his company is not going to be intimidated by a group of “geeks with style” and that if they want to play dirty, they also know how to do it.
You can use your coins to buy refreshments at the little machine for life or melt the coins to make computers, that’s not my problem, I already paid them and fulfilled the law.
A total of 20 billion coins, delivery hope to finish this week. Let’s see how Apple will respond to this.

The Asus Eee Pad Transformer prime is a relatively new tablet on the market, mostly known for its ability to “transform” from tablet to netbook with a keyboard dock. It features 18hours of battery life, which is 8 more hours of fun than you get with an ipad. Also it has a quad core tegra, which certainly makes it the fastest tablet on the market. But Asus has received a lot of critic over the past few weeks mainly due to GPS issues and the fact that the bootloader is locked (aka no custom roms). Apparently the GPS issues are due to the fact that the antenna tries to receive signals through a metal plating, which is impossible. And even though the ipad for example is also covered in metal it has plastic openings for signals to pass through. There has been an update to fix this problem but since its a design flaw it can only be tweaked — not fixed by updates.

Riot just recently announced a whole new game mode + map, for the new update called “dominion”. It’s basically the largest update for League of Legends since season one. The new game mode will be something similar to capture the flag. And if you ask me this update couldn’t come nay sooner, Riot has put far too much focus on new champions. The game is starting to look spammy, imagine beginning to play now. What champion would you choose.. Anyway what Riot needs to put effort in is new maps as well as server upgrades. (and for an unrelated note splitting the EU server in two was stupid, instead they should have adjoined the US and EU server.) Well that’s just my opinion..
Yesterday Netflix and Nintendo promised they would release Netflix for the 3DS with full 3D support today. And so they did if you check your 3DS system there might be a system update for you. And that would be netflix ready for action, click more to have a look at the press release. Oh but did i mention ‘too bad for european 3DS’es, no netflix for you’.
