Mophie, makers of the iPhone power packs which are keeping us running this week, have another shiny iPod Touch-enhancing accessory to show off: The Mophie Pulse. It’s a slick case that’ll boost your device’s volume while enhancing every vibration.
The Pulse is basically a gorgeous (and solid!) iPod Touch case with built-in front-facing speaker, complete with a battery to keep them powered—and feedback technology designed by a company called Reflex. All we need minus a keyboard (slim).

Skype has just released video calling abilities for iphone 4 and ipod touch generation 4.
Best part, it’s possible to call between windows, mac, iphone and android. Also you will be able to recieve video calls from ipads and iphone 3gs, but obviously not show yourself. The cross plattform thing really does make this better than facetime, so maybe apple will ban it? I hope not, anyway there you have it, skype video conferencing on your phone.
Skype has been telling everyone that it’ll be making a “series of video-related announcements” at CES next month… and it’s participating in a panel called “Video Calling Gets Ready for Primetime,” so yeah, needless to say, we’d have to guess that Skype’s finally getting ready to enter the mobile video calling game. So when this picture leaked, we got kinda excited, video calling on an iphone 4. Will it be cross platform though? Android-iphone?

And yes ofcourse, there are lots more dollars not accounted here that go into research and design and packaging and such. That profit margin’s just on the actual physical parts; they don’t literally make that much money every time you buy a phone. But it’s still fun to quantify the hardware, and to see how many ways a phone company can burn through $190 of parts.
