devices 250x300 PressReader for IOS, beats every other newspaper app! gadgetzzMother of God.. I must say i was sceptic to this app as there are many that fail at doing just what this app does. Which is letting you read scans of the physical newspaper, and in some cases even before the stores get it. Sounds good huh? Did i say it has over 2100 newspapers from all over the world.
But what is so great is how good this app does it. Awesome quality, responsive, easy user interface. There was some slight lag though, but nothing too bad. For this awesome ios app you pay:
• Casual readers: Pay only $.99 per download with our pay-as-you-go plan.

• Newspaper lovers: Enjoy reading all your favorite publications whenever or wherever you want, all for just $29.95/month.

Corporate and professional plans are also available.

I am happily surprised with this ios app / service and i would definitely recommend it (9.5/10)! More info here.

Nvidia GTX680 Kepler Revealed

Nvidia’s marketing manager Ujesh Desai is the man who holds up a steaming fresh Geforce GTX 680 in this video from Youtube.

According to Nvidia Geforce GTX 680 will be addressed as the world’s fastest graphics card with a single GPU. The new model is not only fast but also low power, partly thanks to GPU Boost function, which can overclock the GPU as needed.

Another first is the anti-aliasing feature TXA, which is said to produce image quality on par with heavy MSAA to only a fraction of the performance hit. Nvidia also adds “dynamic fracture,” and fur effects in the physics system PhysX, connections for up to four displays, and support for 3D Vision Surround with a single graphics card.
The new graphics processor line is called Kepler and unlike the 5xx series , which were based on a refined version of the Fermi architecture Nvidia debuted back in 2010, Kepler uses a new GK104 GPU

surveillance blimp 1332224871021 The Piratebays radical server idea, Low Orbit Drone Servers! gadgetzzThe Pirate Bay has announced that it plans to launch “Low Orbit Server Stations” that will act as a front line defense against future take-down attacks and censorship attempts on the world’s largest torrent site.
Details are sketchy, but it sounds like these low orbit servers will act as proxies that redirect users to geographically-hidden servers that host the actual torrent indexes and trackers. At the moment, TPB uses a similar setup: public front-end servers (mostly in Sweden), and secret back-end servers that are (apparently) hidden away in a mountain bunker. Orbiting servers would replace some or all of these front-end servers, with the ostensible purpose of making it very hard for the authorities to shut them down. (more…)

Specs and pics of Samsung Galaxy S III leaked!

Pictures of what is supposedly the new galaxy S III have been surfacing lately, most of them where sloppy photoshop jobs, but now some that are allegedly real have been sent to us!sgs3 Specs and pics of Samsung Galaxy S III leaked! gadgetzz

Yesterday  a Samsung Galaxy S3 image ended up online which is considered the most credible so far. At the bottom of the corner of the image is the logo of Weber Shandwick – a public relations firm that worked with Samsung before.

Provided that the picture is genuine, which it obviously does not have to be, the unit could be presented on 22th May in London as it says on the calendar. Otherwise, we see Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz and a centered Home button, which can have capacitive touch buttons next to it. The picture also shows what might be a dedicated camera button. The device is ridiculously thin with minimal frame around the screen.

During the night there appeared another picture which is said to represent Samsung’s new monster. This time it is on a photograph and the person who provided the image also sent to a collection of data on the hardware.

Samsung Galaxy S3, according to the informant a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with HD resolution and display “occupies almost the entire phone”, that is, that it has no dead space. The small frame is said to be for the front camera, speakers, and in order to be able to use a protective case.

In addition, rumors of massive 2GB of RAM have been spread – twice what any android phone has so far has been equipped with. The chip that makes everything come to life is said to be quad-core and Samsung’s own Exynos. A 12MP camera with flash and a 2250mAh battery is also mentioned in this context. Last but not least, we are told that the Galaxy S3 has a ceramic backing that is tempered by MAO process.

Google uses toilet water to cool its servers!

We all know google has secrets behind their doors, alot of them. Slides instead of stairs for the staff, google segways, google bikes, google everything. But there are some secrets not even the staff know about, and thats whats going on inside their server halls!

First off, to save money and the nature Google has started using sewage water that cirkulates through their servers to cool them. This is quite revolutionary, since it really does save the nature, big time. Earlier they used drinking water flowing through the server computers and then out the drain, but then they (obviously) realised their servers dont need water clean enough for drinking to cool their systems. So now they use filtered sewage water! Great way to cool your equipment, save nature, and some money too.

Now to the secrecy..
