The One SV is the latest in the One Series of Smartphones from HTC. In fact this particular iteration has a lot in common with the VX. The major difference being, that the VX is on the shelves of retailers in the West, while the One SV is currently only on sale in Singapore and will be soon available in other Asian countries and Australia. There is absolutely no mention of when and if the device will be rolled out in our part of the world. There is a good probability that it will not make it here. This device from the Taiwanese manufacturer is a mid range Smartphone, offering pretty good features for an price conscious user.
At the IFA in berlin a while ago Samsung demonstrated a cool new concept, a camera with 4g and android. Cameras with android aren’t new, but this one actually does a good job. It was very responsive, felt good in your hands and the pictures came out great. (more…)
This camera is probably the best 3D camera you can get for the money, and it is indeed a good camera. The 3D effects are very good, the screen uses the same technology as the Nintendo 3DS, but the larger size and higher resolution makes this noticeably better than the 3DS screen. It shoots FULL HD photos and 720p HD video, in 3D aswell as 2D. It can even save as both 3D and 2D. For 2D photos it works quite well too but it’s not a super camera, so the 2D pictures are good, but not super good. It is equipped with CCD sensors, which are cheaper than CMOS sensors, but works well for filming. Still I’d say the picture quality is pretty good. (more…)
The Sony DSC RX-100 Featuring: 20.2 megapixels, large 1″ Exmor™ CMOS sensor, F1.8 Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens with control ring, 3.6x zoom, P/A/S/M modes, JPEG and RAW image capture, Full HD 1080/60p video with manual control and a whole bunch of interesting features.
My impression of this camera is that it is a lot more advanced than other compact cameras, and the fact that you can use full manual together with its awesome (for a compact camera) lens. It has a panorama mode, image to vector conversion and is one of the few compact digital cameras with RAW.
Compared to the average point and shoot sensor size, the RX100 has a very large, 1″ CMOS sensor. It is a sony EXMOR sensor to be able to capture more light in your pictures and reproduce every detail even in low light conditions. It takes pictures at 350dpi, which is higher than most cameras do. The sensor is probably better than most DSLR sensors.
